District Governor Ben Dunn

Lion Ben Dunn joined the Wilmington Lions Club in December of 2017. He has been very active in his club since joining. He has served as Vice President (3rd, 2nd, 1st), Board of Directors (1Yr and 2 Yr) and President and also Zone chairperson with eight clubs in the zone. He is the Holiday Candy Sale chairperson and is on numerous other committees of the club. Lion Ben stays very involved in his club’s fundraisers and service projects. Lion Ben has received numerous awards and received the International Presidents Certificate of Appreciation (2024-2025) and the International Presidential Medal (2025-2026).

Lion Ben is retired from the State of Ohio Department of Corrections as Chief of Security as a Major. Lion Ben has a Bachelor of Science in Organization Management from Wilberforce University.

Lion Ben has been married to Sharon, who is also a lion, for 37 years. They have three daughters and five grandchildren.

In Lion Ben’s spare time, he enjoys traveling, fishing, spending time with his family and doing service for the community.
