District Governor John Bond

John Bond has been a member of the Germantown Lions Club since 1991, with 25 years of perfect attendance. He was club President in 1996-97, earning the coveted 100% designation. He served as Zone Chair from 1999 to 2001, and District 13-H Governor in 2003-04. DG John has served two terms on the state building committee and two terms on the state leadership team. With his two brothers, he owns Bond Machine Shop in Franklin, Ohio.

He has been married to his wife Carol for 37 years and has four daughters, two sons in laws and two grandchildren. DG John enjoys cooking and cooks for the community meal at his church once a month and once a month for the Dayton Ronald McDonald House.

Other hobbies include playing with his grandchildren, fishing, growing hops, and listening to a ball game on his back porch, possibly with a beer and cigar in hand. Through his many community projects, it is obvious that John enjoys giving back to the community especially through Lions Club.
